Die erste Eigenkreation von Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen) mit Emily Browning (Lemony Snicket), Vanessa Hudgens (Highschool Musical), Jena Malone (Donnie Darko), Carla Gugino (Sin City), Jon Hamm (Mad Men) und Scott Glenn (Vertical Limit).

Set in the 1950s, Sucker Punch follows Babydoll (Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

Trailer sieht auf jeden Fall schon mal sehr nett aus, auch wenn ich mir Vanessa Hudgens so gar nicht als wirkliche Schauspielerin vorstellen kann, lasse mich aber natürlich gerne vom Gegenteil überzeugen. Werde definitiv einen Blick reinwerfen und bei der Machart des Films bietet sich Kino da natürlich an, denn auf DVD verliert man da sicherlich einiges

Whereas 300 showed an all-male cast of Spartans at the heart of the action, this time it's an all-female line-up kicking butt with martial arts, machine guns and swords. Throw in dragons, bomber planes and a brothel and you get a result that is the definition of the title - an unexpected blow that knocks you for six.
