Also lasst ihn sterben...

At the apartment complex, Mandy moves Tony into a vacant apartment. Inside of the room, Mandy dials a number on her cell phone. The person on the other line answers, it’s Michelle Dessler. Mandy tells Michelle that she has Tony and that she needs to follow all of Mandy’s instructions or Tony will be killed (Michelle is put in the exact same position as Tony was in the previous season). Mandy tells Michelle to move the CTU and LAPD tactical teams from the rear of the complex. Michelle doesn’t know what to do, she knows Tony’s life hangs in the balance and she is torn. Michelle makes the same decision Tony made and she agrees to pull the men out. But then Michelle breaks down and tells Bill Buchanan about Mandy’s call, Bill thanks her for doing the right thing and then relays the information to Jack. Back at the apartment complex, Mandy knows she needs to make her move. Tony is still in the handcuffs and he is also gagged. Mandy takes out a taser gun and tasers Tony which knocks him out. Mandy then dials a number on her cell phone. In the van, Marwan’s men are treating his gunshot wound. His cell phone rings, it’s Mandy. She tells Marwan that she ran into a small problem but everything is fine. Marwan tells Mandy that he will be leaving in an hour and if she wants to leave with him she needs to hurry up and get to the location. Mandy says she will be there and then she starts to plan her elaborate escape from the apartment complex.

Mandy leaves the room and heads for another near-bye apartment. Mandy knocks on the door and the door opens and Mandy is supposed to know the people inside. A women opens the door and her boyfriend is in the living room. Mandy asks to talk with another man whose inside the apartment, the man appears and Mandy takes out her silenced pistol and shoots him in the head. Mandy points her gun at the couple and then forces them out of the apartment at gunpoint. She takes them to Tony’s location and makes the man strip and take Tony’s clothes. Tony is stripped down to his boxers as they trade clothes. Mandy calls Michelle and tells her that her and Tony are leaving the complex and they are going to be driving a black Jaguar. Mandy is unaware that Michelle told Buchanan about their earlier conversation. Mandy tells the couple to walk outside and to go to the Jaguar. The couple leaves the complex dressed as Tony and Mandy and Jack and Curtis watch them. It’s raining and an umbrella is supposed to be covering the couples faces. The women who is disguised as Mandy has a cell phone to her ear and Michelle watches the real-time feed and Mandy and Michelle are speaking. The women’s cell phone doesn’t have a battery and Mandy is acting as if her and Tony are walking to the car. Mandy says she sees agents and that she knows Michelle is lying to her. The couple gets into the car then BOOM ! It explodes into a massive fireball. Michelle screams as she watches the live feed and she breaks down because she believes Tony was inside of the car. Everyone thinks that Tony and Mandy are dead. Michelle is hysterical and Bill tells Michelle to go home because she is unstable. Bill calls the White-House and apprizes Logan of the situation. At the complex, Jack senses that something may be wrong and he goes into the CTU van and watches the video feed of the explosion and the audio feed of Michelle and Mandy’s conversation. Jack notices that he doesn’t hear the sound of rain on the audio and he realizes that Mandy is still inside of the complex and that Tony may still be alive.

Jack and the CTU tactical teams prepare to move in on the complex and on Mandy and Tony’s position. Curtis arrives and he will back Jack up in the tactical assault. Mandy sees them closing in and she decides to try and escape with Tony. They start to move out and Tony looks down and sees some broken glass, he intentionally steps on it and cuts the bottom of his foot, this leaves a blood trail for Jack to follow. Jack and the agents move in on the apartment and they enter the living room with their guns drawn. They see the blood trail and they track it all the way to the parking garage. Jack corners Mandy and there is a tense stand-off. Out of nowhere Curtis sneaks around the back and tackles Mandy and slams her to the ground. Tony is safe and Mandy is taken into CTU custody. Michelle speaks with Tony and Michelle gets emotional as they talk. Meanwhile, Jack begins to question Mandy. She isn’t stupid and she knows her only way out of this situation is to make a deal. So Mandy offers to tell Jack everything in exchange for a full Presidential pardon for her crimes, both past and present. Meanwhile, CTU Agent Howard Bern arrives at a private airport in the city of San Diego. He’s heading to CTU San Diego so he can manufacture an alibi. He’s greeted by a CTU San Diego agent and they move towards an awaiting SUV. Bern opens the door and starts to get in, but as he starts to sit-down he sees Cheng Zhi along with several armed Chinese agents inside of the SUV. Bern turns to the CTU San Diego agent but he’s not with CTU and he throws Bern into the car and one of the Chinese agents knocks Bern out. They speed off and as they leave we see the CTU San Diego field team lying unconscious. They move Bern into a warehouse where they start to interrogate him. The interrogation is videotaped. Cheng says that he knows Agent Bern was involved with the attack on the Consulate and he wants the name of the man who led the operation. Bern denies any involvement in the raid. Cheng tells Bern that he just wants justice and he tries to scare Bern by saying that he will ship him to a Chinese labor camp and his family will never know of his location and he will spend the rest of his life in a Chinese prison. Bern is shaken by the threat and he asks Cheng what will happen after he gives his statement. Cheng tells him that he can just walk out the door. Bern looks at Cheng and says that the man who led the operation at the Consulate was Jack Bauer.

Und hier die Beschreibung zu Folge 24:
Episode 4.24
6:00 - 7:00 a.m.
Airdate - May 23rd
Airtime: 9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

May 19th - At the White-House, they are busy preparing Mandy’s pardon papers. Palmer is briefed on Mandy’s past and he is shocked to learn that she is the woman that tried to assassinate him in season two. Palmer doesn’t really seem to care to much about Mandy’s past and he knows that she is the only one that can lead them to Marwan. Mandy’s pardon papers are signed and she is given a full pardon for her past and present crimes. Once Mandy gets confirmation she tells Jack where Marwan can be found. Mandy says Marwan is a few miles away at a place called the Global Center. She says that Marwan is waiting for her on top of the building inside of a helicopter. Jack and Curtis leave the scene and get inside of the CTU helicopter and they head for Marwan’s location. They close in on the Global Center and we can see a helicopter on top of the building. The CTU helicopter moves in and hovers over Marwan’s helicopter so it can’t take off. Marwan fires several shots and then he once again prepares to make his escape. The CTU helicopter lands and Jack and Curtis run after the terrorist mastermind. Marwan continues to run and he takes out his PDA. The nuclear missile has a tracking device on it and Marwan looks at the PDA one final time and checks on the missiles location. He then shoots the PDA and throws it down and continues to run down the parking garage. Marwan shoots a CTU agent and then he sees Curtis closing in on him. Marwan raises his gun and shoots Curtis and he continues to try and escape. Jack closes in on Marwan but Marwan shoots towards Jack’s position and Jack dives behind a car and takes cover. Jack shoots Marwan in the leg and Marwan falls to the ground. Marwan doesn’t stop his escape attempt and he crawls towards the parking garages railing. Marwan tries to kill himself by falling over the railing but Jack grabs Marwan’s hand. Jack starts to pull Marwan up because he knows Marwan is the only one who knows the missiles location. Marwan knows this and he won’t be taken alive. Marwan takes out a knife and he starts to cut Jack’s hand and Jack tries to hold onto Marwan’s hand but he can’t. Jack loses his grip and Marwan falls from the building and Marwan falls to his death.

At the Apartment complex, Tony finishes his debriefing and he gets in a car and heads to CTU. Meanwhile, inside of the White-House bunker, Vice President Logan is briefed on the status of the investigation and he learns of Marwan’s death. Logan is pissed but Palmer says that Jack did everything he could to keep Marwan alive. Logan knows they are out of time and that a nuclear missile is heading for one of their cities and they can’t do anything to stop it. Mike Novick walks into the room and tells Logan that the interim Chinese Consul needs to speak to the Vice President regarding an urgent matter. The interim Consul appears on the teleconference screen and tells Logan that he has obtained undeniable proof of CTU’s involvement in the raid at the Chinese Consulate. The interim Consul then plays the tape of CTU agent Howard Bern’s confession. He admits to taking part in the raid and he says that the man who led the operation was Jack Bauer. Palmer questions the authenticity of the tape but he asks the interim Consul what he wants the American Government to do. The interim Consul says that his country simply wants justice and that they want Jack Bauer to be immediately handed over so he can be put on trial under Chinese Law. Logan and Palmer are unsure how to proceed and they tell the interim Consul that they will get back to him. They hang up and then Logan screams at Palmer because he said a scenario like this wouldn’t happen. Palmer says that he will take full responsibility for authorizing the raid on the Consulate but Mike quickly says that Palmer can’t do that because it would look as if Palmer was acting for Logan and the administration. Walt Cummings, one of Logan’s advisors, offers an easy solution. He says that maybe Jack Bauer should have an accident because his death would erase all of their problems. Palmer scoffs at the suggestion and Logan says he can’t condone the murder of a Federal Agent. Logan thinks for a few seconds and then he makes his final decision. He will turn Jack Bauer over to the Chinese. Palmer steps up and tells Logan that he can’t do that. Logan tells Palmer that he can do whatever he wants and he tells Palmer to address him as Mr. President. Palmer accepts Logan’s decision and he asks to be the man to tell Jack about the administrations decision, Logan agrees and Palmer prepares to call Jack and tell him that his country has turned it's back on him.

At the Global Center, a CTU forensic team is busy examining Marwan’s helicopter. They are trying to find any evidence that will help CTU locate the missiles current location. Curtis is trying to help out at the scene even though he is wounded in the arm. Marwan’s PDA is recovered from the parking garage and all of the undamaged data on the device is sent to Chloe and Edgar. They quickly work up the information from the PDA and they do a time analysis and they realize where the missile is going, they look at each other in shock because the missile is heading directly for Los Angeles. CTU calls the Air Force and they immediately scramble two F-16’s. The fighter jets speed towards the missile and they close in on it. The pilots take aim and lock onto the nuclear missile. They open fire and shoot the missile down. The crisis has been averted and the United States of America is safe, for now. Meanwhile at CTU, Jack and Audrey speak to each other. Audrey tells Jack that she can’t be with him anymore and that being in the field is what Jack was meant to do. Everything that happened today made Audrey realize that she can’t have a life with Jack. Jack is upset about Audrey’s decision and the day has just overwhelmed him once again. Jack receives a call from President Palmer and Palmer tells Jack about Howard Bern’s confession to the Chinese and Palmer tells Jack that he needs to be handed over to the Chinese government. Jack is a patriot and he says he understands and Palmer tells Jack that he only has a few minutes to pack his things because a Secret Service agent is coming to CTU to pick him up. Meanwhile, Walt Cummings speaks with Agent Spaulding, the Secret Service agent who is coming to pick up Jack at CTU. Walt tells Agent Spaulding that Jack needs to be killed because Walt fears that Jack will talk and damage the administration, Spaulding says he knows what needs to be done. Palmer overhears the conversation and he immediately calls Jack and gives him the heads up that the Secret Service agent is going to try and kill him.

Tony arrives at CTU and he and Michelle share an emotional moment together and they are extremely happy to be back together. Michelle apologizes to Tony for not cooperating with Mandy but Tony doesn’t care about any of the past and he just wants to start a life with Michelle. Jack walks over to Tony and tells him what’s going on. Just then the Secret Service agent arrives to pick up Jack. Buchanan meets with the agent and tells him that Jack needs to finish up his de-briefing and as soon as Jack finishes he can take him. Tony calls Buchanan and tells him that Jack is trying to escape out of CTU. The secret service agent runs towards Tony’s position and Tony and Agent Spaulding team up and look for Jack in the electrical room. The Secret Service agent closes in on Jack and he fires several shots. Tony tells Jack that he is putting his gun down and he wants to talk Jack out of this entire mess. Tony turns the corner and he sees Jack’s lifeless body lying DEAD on the floor. Tony runs to Jack’s body. Jack is covered in a pool of blood. Tony checks Jack for a pulse but there is nothing. The Secret Service agent enters and Tony pushes and screams at the agent for shooting Jack. The agent checks Jack for a pulse but Jack is dead. Buchanan, Michelle and Chloe come running in and they see Jack’s dead body and they are shocked. Buchanan moves the secret service agent from the scene and Tony, Michelle and Chloe look down at Jack’s lifeless body.

Michelle watches as Buchanan and the Secret Service agent leave the room. She then looks up at Tony, something seems odd. Michelle reaches down and pulls out a syringe and plunges it into Jack’s body. Nothing happens, something is wrong. Tony and Michelle look at each other in shock, this wasn’t part of the plan. They look down at Jack’s dead body there’s no movement, then suddenly Jack slowly shows signs of life, he’s still alive but just barely. They are now in a race against time and they need to get Jack out of CTU and away from the secret service agent who was ordered to execute Jack. Meanwhile, Audrey is told about Jack’s death and she breaks down and sobs. Audrey truly believes Jack is dead. Tony and Michelle sneak Jack out of CTU and put Jack into Michelle’s SUV. They drive away and exit the CTU lot. Tony gives Jack a new ID and an untraceable cell-phone. After awhile, the SUV pulls over and they let Jack out. Jack is dead to the entire world and the only people that know he’s alive are Tony, Michelle, Palmer and Chloe. Jack gets out of the SUV and Michelle and Tony say their goodbyes to Jack, they both know they may never see him again. Michelle and Tony drive away and disappear into the sunrise. Jack dials a number on his cell phone and President Palmer answers. Jack thanks Palmer for saving his life but they both realize that Jack needs to get out of the country and disappear forever. Palmer thanks Jack for his service to the country and he says they can’t speak together ever again because Jack Bauer no longer exists. Jack hangs up the phone and starts to walk away. The sun is rising over Los Angeles and Jack walks into the sunrise as the season comes to an end.

Ich hab nur die ersten Episoden der 4. Staffel gesehen!
