*the scientist - Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are

And on that fateful day when she was crucified,
She wore Shiseido Red and we drank tea by her side.

My dog won't bite if you sit real still.
I got the Anti-Christ in the kitchen yellin' at me again.

Ich find die Liste ziemlich gut. Herbert Grönemeyer – Demo; Aimee Mann – One; The Police – Roxanne; Frankie goes to Hollywood – The power of love; John Miles - Music...
Hätte nicht groß was geändert.

Elton John – Your Song
„It’s a little bit funny this feeling inside. I’m not one of those who can easily hide”

Bee Gees – I started a joke
“I started a joke which started the whole world crying But I didn’t see That the joke was on me”

Aimee Mann – Deathly
”Now that I’ve met you Would you object to Never seeing each other again”

Barry Manilow – Can’t smile without you
”You know I can’t smile without you I can’t smile without you I can’t laugh and I can’t sing I’m finding it hard to do anything”

Tocotronic – Let there be rock

Dido – White Flag
”I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you, I’ll tell you that

Eins noch:
"You’re all I have in this teenage twilight
Your golden hair and pale blue eyes
But through all the days and the sleepless nights
We have never been satisfied"

They're in my head

My pops used to say it reminded him of be-bop

Suzanne Vaga - Luka
My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes, I think you've seen me before

Parliament - P.Funk (Wants to get Funked Up)
Good evening

We will return it to you as soon as you are grooving

Don't worry, about a thing
Cause every little thing gonna be all right

Dave Matthews Band - The Dreaming Tree

For starting off the day

Bound together through our beliefs

These mist covered mountains are a home now for me

Beatles - In my Life
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin

Ben Folds - Still fighting it
Good morning son, I am a bird
Wearing a brown polyester shirt

Simon & Garfunkel - The Boxer
I am just a poor boy though my story is seldom told

And what will happen in the morning when the world it gets so crowded that you can't look out the window in the morning

Dido - Thank you
My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window, and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey put your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad it's not so bad

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun

Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?

Sunday is gloomy, my hours are slumberless
Dearest, the shadows I live with are numberless
Little white flowers will never awaken you
Not where the black coach of sorrow has taken you
Angels have no thoughts of ever returning you
Would they be angry if I thought of joining you?
...

überhaupt, ein unheimlich geniales lied

Oh - wie ich diesen Song liebe!!!

Neben vielen schon genannten gehört für mich auch Billie Myers - Kiss the rain hier rein. Hello, can you hear me? Am I gettin through to you? - Hammer!

Alanis Morissette - King Of Pain

There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same old thing as yesterday

Ben Folds Five - Brick

Six a.m., day after Christmas
I throw some clothes on in the dark
The smell of cold, car seat is freezing
The world is sleeping, I am...numb

DIDO - Thank You

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey, but your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad

Aretha Franklin - Respect

What you want baby I got it
What you need you know I got it
all I'm asking is for a little respect

Kate Bush - This Woman's Work

Pray God you can cope.
I stand outside this woman's work,
This woman's world.
Ooh, it's hard on the man,
Now his part is over.
Now starts the craft of the father.

Red House Painters - Shadows

somewhere up fifteen miles
sifting through crackling vinyl
lost memories of my youth
are coming into view

Alanis Morissette - Thank You

How about getting off of these antibiotics
How about stopping eating when I'm filled up
How about them transparent dangling carrots
How about that ever elusive kudo

und meine Favoriten sind...

Red House Painters - I'm sorry

It's cold here in the city
all this seems that way
I've been thinking about you
almost every day
thinking about the good times
thinking about the pain

Chantal Kreviazuk - Green Apples

You're toast and jam
And you're cotton candy
You're double rainbows
Beside a setting sun
You're wood burnin' outside
There a fire growin'
You're sweet as green apples
You must be the one

Red House Painters - Summer Dress :anbet:

summer dress makes you more beautiful than the rest
lovliest girl that i know, and the sweetest
spends her life inside, she thinks she isn't blessed

on this february morning
In the courtyard
birds were singing your praise

Shawn Colvin: Never saw blue like that
Today I took a walk up the street
and picked a flower and climbed the hill
above the lake

Eva Cassidy/Sting: Fields of Gold
You´ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You´ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold

The Cranberries: Animal Instinct
Suddenly something has happened to me
As I was having my cup of tea
Suddenly I was feeling depressed
I was utterly and totally stressed

P.J.Harvey: One line
Do you remember the first kiss?
Stars shooting across the sky
To come to such a place as this
You never left my mind

Tori Amos: Winter
Snow can wait I forgot my mittens
wipe my nose get my new boots on
I get a little warm in my heart
when I think of winter....

you know that we are to stay alive, see the peace in every heart

Busy Phillips bzw. Black Label Society:Way Beyond Empty
If I could I surely would
Child ease your pain
But if I could no longer
Would you still know my name?

Sarah McLachlan: Full of grace (bei kalten wintertagen ;) )
the winter here's cold, and bitter
it's chilled us to the bone
we haven't seen the sun for weeks
to long too far from home

Green Day: Boulevard of Broken Dreams
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know were it goes
But its home and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

So how come no one is panicking

GooGooDolls - Acoustic #3
They painted up your secrets
With the lies they told to you
And the least they ever gave you
Was the most you ever knew

The Pretenders - I'll stand by you

Tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry

'Cause i've seen the dark side too

First day of my life, The Rasmus

I feel like i'm stoned, I wanna be alone, just for a while unknown
weeks on the road a long way from home, just shut off the phone

Flying, Bryan Adams

If you ever feel like you gonna fall, oh I'll be there
And if you ever feel down I feel small, don't dispear
And if you ever feel lost I feel alone, oh babe come on home

Out of control, Hoobastank
I've done everything as you said
I followed your rules without question
I thought it would help me see things clearly
