LEDGER AND WILLIAMS EYE ITALY MOVE


Parents-to-be HEATH LEDGER and MICHELLE WILLIAMS are planning to set up home in Italy and are turning their backs on Los Angeles.

The Australian actor, 26, and former DAWSON'S CREEK actress Williams, 24, are expecting their first child together this autumn (05) - and are desperate to escape the glare of the American media.

The couple have spent all summer in New York City, after Ledger enjoyed the first part of this year (05) filming in his native Australia.

Ledger explains, "I have kind of been living out of bags for the past 13 years. I will just stick to that.

"Home is, like, Earth. I don't care where I land. I am actually thinking of going to live in Italy. The food and the wine are great there. That's it really.

"Oh, we have a couple of plans (for places in Italy). We have a few places up our sleeves.

"I would much rather work in Europe than America."

Ledger spent several months in Venice last year (04) filming CASANOVA.

Venice calling

Just after Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ledger's pregnant girlfriend, Michelle Williams, and Anne Hathaway traipsed on stage to do a Q & A for the gay love story Brokeback Mountain, a cellphone started to ring.

Everyone in the crowd looked accusingly at each other. Then producer James Schamus pulled a phone out of his pocket. Director Ang Lee was on the line, apologizing for his no-show at the press conference. Turns out his film had just won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Lee had walked off the stage, lion in hand, to pick up the phone to call his cast in Toronto.

The most entertaining thing about that Toronto press conference was the steady whispered dialogue between Ledger and his soon-to-deliver mate. At one point, he leaned behind Gyllenhaal to whisper sweetly, "How you doing?" To which the Dawson's Creek beauty (who plays Ledger's wife in this film) said, "I can feel it kicking."

da kann ich nur zustimmen, sie sieht echt fantastisch und schon sehr mütterlich aus - isses nicht bald soweit? - jedenfalls hat sie das typische werdende-Mama-Schimmern im Gesicht und sieht einfach super toll aus! (von wegen Entlein )

Nein, sie ist jetzt nicht schwanger. Sie war es während der 6. Staffel, als sie in der Serie mit Chris schwanger war. Man sieht auch, dass sie in der Zeit ein bißchen runder geworden ist. Als sie Wyatt in der Serie bekommen hat, war sie im echten Leben nicht schwanger.
