Dean wird auch noch in den nächsten Episoden mitmachen. Ich weiß nur nicht, ob die beiden Brüder nur in einer Episode glauben, dass Dean sterben wird oder ob sich diese Geschichte wie ein roter Faden durch alle folgenden Episoden zieht, nach dem Muster: er hat ja nicht mehr lange zu leben.

Müssen wir in diesem Thread eigentlich die Spoilertags verwenden? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, da es nicht explizit im Titel steht.

Scream star: Jensen Ackles slays fans on WB’s ‘Supernatural’
Jensen Ackles never had an audition like the one he had for the WB’s “Supernatural” (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on WLVI, Ch. 56).

“It was kind of funny because it was a very in-house situation,” Ackles said during a recent telephone interview from the set. The actor, who plays witty older brother Dean Winchester on the eerie series, had done his time on the WB, spending a season as a bad-boy boyfriend on both “Dawson’s Creek” and “Smallville.”

“Once they started kicking the script around and tossing around names, my name came up. The director of the pilot was also very familiar with me. He and I have known each other for many years, and it was kind of an agreement that I was one of the top choices for one of the roles. I basically went in and read for the director, whom I knew, and he said, ‘Yeah, done great, OK, you’re in.’ . . . Usually you’re fighting to bring notoriety to yourself. You want them to remember you; you want them to know who you are when you go in, and a lot of times you have to fight for that. In this circumstance, it was already done. I just went in and waved hi to a bunch of familiar faces.”

The Dallas native fell in love with acting during high school.

“I was pretty into sports when I was growing up. Of course, that’s the thing to do when you’re in Texas. Theater was something I just did on the side; it was an elective, because you have to take an art elective, and I didn’t know how to draw, and I thought, ‘Well, I can make an idiot of myself - that will be easy.’ ”

With his parents’ blessing, he decided to forgo college and head to Los Angeles.

“I made a deal with my folks and said, ‘Hey, I’ll take one semester off, and if nothing happens, I’ll come back and go to school.’ My parents have always been extremely supportive. I think they knew I wasn’t some crazy kid with an unreachable dream.”

Ackles soon landed the role of Eric Brady on “Days of Our Lives,” which brought attention and devoted fan sites.

“It’s unbelievably flattering, to say the least; some of these people I know personally. They’ve been around since day one of ‘Days of Our Lives.’ It’s really cool. It’s not something that I would say I need, but it’s really nice to know that what I’m doing people like and people respond to and kind of give me confidence to keep doing it.”

He’s also found a new friend in “Supernatural” co-star Jared Padalecki.

“We just have a lot in common. We’re both from Texas. We both come from a very similar background. . . . He’s about four or five years younger than me, so it’s kind of like having a little brother. He’s about 6 feet 5 inches - of course he won’t admit it. I’m 6 feet 1 inch and he makes me look like a shrimp. It’s funny because all our guest stars come on and say, ‘Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.’ ”

When last we tuned in to WB's freshman frightfest, Supernatural, bogeyman-busting brothers Dean and Sam Winchester had fended off the insanity of an old, shuttered asylum only to come home to a phone call from their perpetually MIA father. The action picks up right from that instant with this week's new episode (airing tonight at 9 pm/ET). Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean, shared with TVGuide.com a preview.

TVGuide.com: Were you happy when Supernatural got picked up for a full season so early on?
Jensen Ackles: Yeah, it's always a crapshoot with the whole television thing in general, so the fact that we had a nice little buzz and had the powers-that-be pushing for us gave us the confidence we needed to move ahead and put us in the frame of mind we needed to be in for the remainder of the season.

TVGuide.com: Especially since there is so much mythology to delve into. You must have been like, "This could be a really awesome show if..."
Ackles: If we get the right support and it's done right. And so far, I think everybody has made every effort they can to really get this show off and running the way we all want it to be.

TVGuide.com: I have to wonder, does it get lonely being just you and Jared [Padalecki, Sam] in every damn episode? Do you corner the writers and go, "Can't we get a bartender buddy or something?"
Ackles: [Laughs] Oh, trust me. When [Warner Bros. Television president] Peter Roth and I had dinner about a month ago, he said, "So, the show's doing really, really good, everybody's really happy... How do you think we can make the show great?" "Add. More. Characters." is the first thing I said. [Laughs] But that's what we signed on for — we knew it would be just Jared and I, and that it would be a very demanding schedule, and it definitely has been. It hasn't let up. I think I've had one day off since July. The cool thing about it is that Jared and I really get to work hard and, in the same breath, we get to meet and see and work with new people each week. It's a new town, a whole new story, new people, so in a sense that's something kinda cool that we have that a lot of shows don't.

TVGuide.com: Do you guys never film during the day, or does the show just do a great job of simulating darkness and murkiness?
Ackles: Everything that you see inside is generally done during the day and then, of course, our night shoots are either cheated a bit or we wait until the sun drops. But we shoot in Vancouver, where the sun goes down quite early. It will be 4:40 in the afternoon and it's dark already.

TVGuide.com: I thought my ears spied Canadian accents on some of the guest stars. I was watching "Asylum" and that blonde girl...
Ackles: What, did she throw in an aboot?

TVGuide.com: Something like that. I was like, "A-ha, I see we're shooting in Canada."
Ackles: It's funny, I've actually had to grab the script supervisor — who is Canadian, so it doesn't register to her the way it does to me — and tell her, "You've got to watch these accents, they're starting to kick up," and then she'll go tell the actor. There are only a few of us who can really catch it, and if we're not around...

TVGuide.com: What bogeymen are left to tackle this season? Can you tease anything about what's coming up?
Ackles: I know that there's some good stuff coming up with the father...

TVGuide.com: At the end of "Asylum," he's on the other end of the telephone.
Ackles: Exactly, so that's going to start becoming much more relevant. There's such a pool of these [bogeyman] stories that Erik Kripke, the writer and creator, has come up with...

TVGuide.com: And you don't want to burn through them all in Season 1.
Ackles: And we're not, either. Erik is just this mad genius in L.A. who kind of locks himself in the writers' room and comes up with all of this awesome stuff. I have every confidence in him in the world.

TVGuide.com: What did you and Jared get for a Christmas bonus? Your own '67 Chevy Impalas?
Ackles: [Laughs] That would have been nice! I think that's maybe the fifth season, if we get there.

TVGuide.com: You got some wimpy Supernatural wall calendar, didn't you?
Ackles: We all got jackets and stuff... and we also got a couple of days off earlier than we were supposed to.

TVGuide.com: Let's talk about your three previous extended runs on television: Dark Angel, Smallville and Dawson's Creek.
Ackles: I kind of felt like a bit of a pinch hitter on those shows. They were already established, and I was just kind of coming in to do whatever they needed to be done.

TVGuide.com: It was almost a "prolonged screen test" until the day got your own show, wasn't it?
Ackles: Yeah, exactly. [Laughs] They were just kind of "using and abusing" me to make sure I could handle the pressure and the whole situation. But it was good. After Dark Angel, [Fox] made me the lead of a series called Still Life. We shot the pilot, they picked it up for seven episodes, and then they decided to shelve it. There was a big change in command, and [the new entertainment president] cleaned the slate of anything that was pending, so we got lost in the shuffle.

TVGuide.com: They should put the seven episodes out on DVD, cash in on your Supernatural buzz.
Ackles: Hey, that'd be the smart thing to do. But who knows what the suits are thinking these days?

TVGuide.com: Getting back to Supernatural, do you ever worry that Dean is too quippy? That maybe his attitude undercuts the tension?
Ackles: That's a very delicate balance you've got to find, because at the end of the day this is a horror show, and you really have to make it believable. To do that, you have to really be scared and you have to really react to these things. The only difference between Dean and anybody else reacting to it is that this is what he's been living, breathing, eating and sleeping for most of his life.

TVGuide.com: Plus, the humor is probably a sort of coping mechanism.
Ackles: He's definitely got the cocky facade covering up a lot of what's going on underneath. That's a cool thing about him — he's a bit of an onion, and in each episode you start peeling layers and layers off. Sometimes I really have to think, "OK, I'd like to make this nonchalant and funny, but I don't want to miss the point that this is a very serous issue I'm dealing with." It's a delicate balance.

TVGuide.com: Have you ever been to the funky official Supernatural website?
Ackles: Yeah, that's cool as hell. I pop around in the trunk, the glove compartment...

TVGuide.com: I was just there for the first time and it's crazy!
Ackles: It is crazy. In fact, I do these things every now and then where I'll go and record a voice-over or an outgoing [phone] message, or a message to my dad, that they'll play on the webpage. They're really going to make that an integral part of the show. I know they've set up an actual phone number and an e-mail address that are used on the show, and people are calling and leaving messages and e-mails. People at Warner Bros. are going through them. It's been a really cool response.

TVGuide.com: Is your girlfriend too scared to watch the show?
Ackles: I'm currently a single guy, so the only women in my life are my sister and my mom, and yes, they definitely watch the show and yes, they definitely get scared!

Jensen kommt sehr sympathisch herüber. Aber geht es nur mir so oder habt ihr auch den Eindruck, dass er insgesamt mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommt als Jared?

Es ist sehr schön zu wissen, dass die Geschichte um den Vater jetzt stärker aufgenommen wird. Das ist nämlich die Storyline bei Supernatural, die mich brennend interessiert.

Supernatural wird immer verwirrender!

Wobei die Folge an sich nur Durchschnitt war, wurde doch einiges an Schwung in die weiterführende Storyline gebracht. Sam und Dean haben nach langer Zeit mal wieder mit ihrem Vater telefoniert. Allerdings nur, um mitgeteilt zu bekommen, dass sie die Suche nach ihm abbrechen sollen, weil es zu gefährlich ist. Er ist anscheinend dem Dämon, der die Mutter auf dem Gewissen hat, dicht auf den Fersen. Von wem oder besser was wird diese Familie nur gejagt?

Am Besten war aber natürlich mal wieder das Ende! Wer hätte schon gedacht, dass diese doch eher harmlose Anhalterin mit einem Dämon zusammenarbeitet? Ist sie eigentlich selber einer und wieso arbeitet sie für ihn? Ich wundere mich wirklich, wieso sie am Anfang Sam einfach auf der Straße zurückgelassen hat und wieso sie sich ihm erst später anschloss? Und wieso durfte sie Sam und Dean noch nicht sofort töten? Was ist das Ziel dahinter? Es ist schon klar, dass die Serie dann zu Ende wäre, aber was will bzw. braucht der Dämon von den beiden Brüdern? Das ist wirklich alles sehr merkwürdig.

Ich hoffe, wir sehen in Zukunft noch mehr von Nicki Aycox (spielt die Anhalterin). In der nächsten Folge scheint sie jedenfalls nicht mitzumachen.

Hier startet Supernatural am Montag. Ich freu mich schon drauf. Die Vorschau sieht auf alle Faelle vielversprechend aus. Noch bin ich ja komplett unverspoilert aber ich denk das wird sich bald aendern.

bin dank euch auch auf supernatural neugierig geworden und habe bisher die ersten beiden folgen gesehen. habe nun die 6 seiten in diesem thread nicht gelesen, da ich nicht zuviel erfahren möchte darüber, was passiert. bloß beim überfliegen habe ich mitbekommen, dass die serie hier am montag startet? na, dann war mein timing ja gar nicht schlecht.

der pilot hat mir direkt gut gefallen. jared und jensen passen als brüder sehr gut zusammen, und ich finde, sie tragen die serie problemlos! jared wirkt viel erwachsener als in GG (was bisher die einzige rolle ist, in der ich ihn kenne) und jensen kommt sehr gut rüber als der coolere, abgebrühtere, witzige von beiden.

mir gefällt es gut, wie die beziehung der brüder umgesetzt ist. kenne ja bisher nur die ersten 2 folgen, aber da war zwischenmenschlich ja schon vieles dabei: spannung, zwist, zusammehalt, risikobereitschaft für den anderen, bedingungslose freundschaft.

und jared/sam wird auch schon cooler. am ende der 2. folge ". . .until then, i'm the one who drives!"

Laut Quotenmeterhat jetzt doch die ProSiebenSat.1-Gruppe und nicht RTL2 die Rechte an Supernatural erworben. Ich bin mal gespannt, wann sie mit der Ausstrahlung beginnen werden.

Jensen war am 09.01. bei ktla und hat ein Interview gegeben. Er spricht über das Casting für Supernatural, Jared und die Critics' Choice Awards.

Außerdem gibt es die Bestätigung, dass Nicki Aycoxab sofort zum wiederkehrenden Cast gehört. Endlich gibt es mal weibliche Verstärkung für die Jungs und in "Scarecrow" hat sie ja schon eindrucksvoll bewiesen, dass sie sehr gut in die Serie hineinpasst.

Supernatural Gets The Girl

Jensen Ackles, who co-stars with Jared Padalecki in The WB's scary series Supernatural, told SCI FI Wire that the show will be adding a new recurring female character in the second half of the first season. "The character of Meg, played by Nicki Aycox, she's going to be coming back and doing some stuff," Ackles said in an interview at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif. "That's going to be a really interesting multiple storyline, a nice little arc there. ... We're planting some nice seeds for some good arcs."

In the recent episode "Scarecrow," Aycox (Jeepers Creepers II, Over There) first made an appearance as a hitchhiker who makes a connection with Padalecki's Sam Winchester. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Meg is more than meets the eye.

In a separate interview, Padalecki said that "Scarecrow" is one of his favorite episodes of the series so far, and he's looking forward to Meg's return. "She's a new recurring character, " Padalecki said. "She's back and trying to cause more trouble."

ah ok, darüber hatte ich mich auch gewundert, und wollte schon den serienfans um mich herum klarmachen, dass sie supernatural am montag anschauen sollen wäre allerdings wirklich 'n bißchen wenig werbung gewesen

Letzten Montag hab ich mir den Piloten angeschaut. Leider konnte ich nicht die ganze Folge sehen.

Konnten den TV nicht installieren, da sie zum einen ein falsches Kabel mitgeliefert haben und zum andern die Leitung dazumals nicht richtig gelegt haben. Das hat mich ja tierisch genervt.

Ich hoff, ich hab nicht allzu viel verpasst und hab trotzdem den anschluss noch.

Mittlerweile funktioniert alles und ich kanns kaum erwarten, weiterzuschaun.

hab diesmal gar nicht verstanden, wie die jungs auf amanda und ihren flug gekommen sind. woher kam diese eingebung?

und wiedermal klasse, wie das verhältnis der beiden brüder aufgebaut ist! die szene bevor vor und im flugzeug war spitze!
