Hier also der Spot:

Hier ist ein Interview mit Liza Weil
THE STAR SCOOP:

You're instantly recognizable as Paris Geller of Gilmore Girls, but who is the real Liza?

LIZA WEIL:
I'm a little different than that I think. I'm pretty shy. I wouldn't say I'm as outspoken as Paris and I certainly wasn't as academically inclined. I had a really hard time in school, so it's pretty funny for me to play such a smart person. I'm not saying I'm not smart, I was a little disinterested, I guess. But, she is a very exaggerated part of my neurosis. Most of the time I'm really laid back, and pretty shy, and it probably takes a long time to get to know me, but I'm really nice once you get to know me.

THE STAR SCOOP:
Speaking of the real you, fellow actress Sprague Grayden said you and Alexis Bledel are girls with self respect, and girls who are real. We agree. What is your reaction to this comment?

WEIL:
I say right back at you, sister. I feel exactly the same way about her. It's an honor to hear that. It's pretty rare to find female roles on television that are written with any kind of intelligence. That makes me really happy, and I certainly am proud to be a part of something that makes it cool for girls to be smart and read, and that's something I'm really, really, happy to be a part of. I feel, kudos to Sprague Grayden as well, because I think that she really represents girls really well. She's a very real human being, and she certainly has a lot to offer. It's important for girls to stay true to themselves, and certainly not deprive themselves of anything.

THE STAR SCOOP:
How do you spend your free time, if you have any?

WEIL:
I'm a huge movie buff, so I go see tons of movies, whenever I can. I read a lot. My sister lives here, and she just had a baby recently. So my free time will be, being an aunt for the first time. Both my parents live on the east coast still, so I travel back there as much as I can. I feel like, living in Los Angeles, when you don't have a reason to be here, you're not busy, and you're not working, I find that I need to get out of here. Being here without a purpose and a place to be, can be a little maddening at times. When I have a ton of time, I try to travel, or go visit with people that I don't see very often. Not too glamorous.

THE STAR SCOOP:
Why is Gilmore Girls such an appealing show?

WEIL:
I think that people really are attracted to that writing style, and it always surprises me, how many demographics that show appeals to. I think it reminds a lot of people of that old, 1940s film style, the back and forth banter, and I think that is something people immediately latch onto. I think there is something for everybody, it's sort of a nice way the show is set up, that you have these two central characters that are so likeable, that they're surrounded by all these different, very strong personalities. All the references to pop culture, and I think people are surprised with how smart it is, and I don't think the audience of Gilmore Girls is ever dumbed down. They're challenged to think.

THE STAR SCOOP:
Tell us about playing the role of Paris Geller.

WEIL:
I think it's really fun. Sometimes I wish that I could behave the way that Paris does in situations. The thing that's really fun about playing somebody like that is that there are no consequences for me to sort of act in the most sort of really awful way, in situations. It's sort of a fantasy in a way. I think I try to think about other people a lot in my life, and I worry a lot, and I have a huge amount of empathy. I'm fairly codependent as a person. Paris lets it all out there. It's sort of my fantasy, having a day where you can just say anything and do anything.

THE STAR SCOOP:
What are you currently working on?

WEIL:
Over the summer, I worked on this movie called Neal Cassady. That was probably the biggest departure from Paris Geller I've had in a long time; I got to dye my hair platinum blond. I lived in New York for a long time, but I hardly ever got to work there as an actor. I feel like it's really hard to find work there. So, being able to go back there for a month over the summer and work in New York was a real treat for me. Being on that movie set was just amazing. It ran so well, it was so organized, but you felt like it was you're friends making this movie, and everybody was so relaxed. It was great work, and it was a really amazing experience. And then, I just did a day on this movie called Year of The Dog, which is Mike White's new movie. Molly Shannon is the lead in that, and I'm a huge fan of Mike White movies, so that was a real pleasure for me to be part of that. I try to find other things to do that fit within the season, but we just went back to work a couple weeks ago, and that's been really interesting too, since our creators left the show. We're only about two episodes in, but so far, it's been really nice. It's always nice to have some new blood, some new energy there.
Spoiler

THE STAR SCOOP:
What can fans expect from the new season of Gilmore Girls?

WEIL:
I think they should expect more of the same. I think it's going to keep getting better, and they can expect that it's going to stay faithful to what has been done before, and that's the style. It's going to be the same. The story lines are really good, and it's really smart, and they can expect a season that is really, really strong. I think the show has really come into itself, and it's going to keep getting better. I'm really excited. It should be good.

THE STAR SCOOP:
What do you see for yourself, in the future?

WEIL:
I just hope to be working. I've been really lucky to be on a show for so long, and have a consistent job. To have a job that's consistent has been really, really great. I'm always happy to be doing something, and last summer was one of the first summers in a while where I've been able to do so much over a hiatus. I just hope to keep busy.

Spoiler
'Gilmore' goings-on

Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham has heard all the fan complaints from
last season, from Luke's secret love child to Lorelai's
uncharacteristicall y wussy reaction, to her season-closing bed scene
with Christopher. She's even agrees with some of them. "It wasn't my
favorite stuff to play, to kind of be dictated to by Luke. But it was
a believable conflict to me and a believable obstacle, so the end to
me made perfect sense."

To be fair, Graham wasn't in a position to do anything about her
complaints. Now-departed creator Amy Sherman-Palladino was famous for
running the show the way she wanted â€" and she wanted to delay the
marriage of Luke and Lorelai. Besides, Graham says, "If everything
went the way the fans wanted it to go, the show would either be over
or I'd just be calling Rory saying 'Well, what are you doing tonight?' "

Clearly, though, changes are coming that go beyond the
behind-the-scenes change that replaced Sherman-Palladino with new
producer David Rosenthal. On screen, Rory will have a new circle of
friends, and Christopher will play a bigger role. But Lorelai will
still have her pet, Paul Anka, despite Graham's desire to dump the
dog. "I just am not a fan of dog comedy."

Lauren Graham hat letzte Woche ihren Gastauftritt bei Studio 60 abgedreht :D
Then came this past Friday, which I decided would be my last day on set due to my loathe of extras work and its replacement by returning to the production world. This by far had to be the most exciting day and how it ended with such a big bang. Across from the extras holding area is the set for NBC's new show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, where Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls is next door too) had several smoke breaks.
