Ich habe es noch nicht gesehen und ich glaub ich lass das auch. Das erste Special in der 2. Staffel fand ich schon nicht so besonders toll.

Das war so lustig, wie Derek und George in den Schränken nach Essen gesucht haben. *lol* Fand es echt gut, dass sie mal etwas mehr miteinander zu tun hatten und die Gespräche waren echt toll.

eigendlich könnte ich deine post komplett quoten damit wäre meine meinung gesagt ab der szene mit bailey waren bei mir die dämme gebrochen und ich hab vor mich hin geheult es war wirklich eine sehr schöne folge, was mich ein wenig wundert ist das die 2te noch nicht im netz aufgetaucht ist. den in kanada gibet doch auch dvdrecorder oder?! egal müssen wir halt noch ein wenig warten.

It's the day after the prom and everyone is worried about Izzie, who is still mourning Denny. She just lies on the bathroom floor of the house and refuses to eat or change out of her prom dress.

Christina tells Meredith she's the best candidate to go comfort Izzie, because she's "dark and twisty."

Miranda stays with Denny's body until the funeral home picks him up. There won't be a funeral, at his family's request. Before he's wheeled off, she tells him, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Meredith confesses to Christina that she snuck off from the prom and slept with Derek, but that she has no idea where things stand between them.

Adele makes an appointment with Richard, saying it's the only way to see him. She offers an ultimatum: Retire or she's leaving him.

Omar and his wife, Giselle, come into the E.R. She was driving them both to the hospital for severe flu when she passed out at the wheel. Omar is running a high fever and it turns out he was exposed to someone with bubonic plague. Quarantine is immediately declared.

Derek and George are on their way to Meredith's house when they are stopped by health officials: they just operated on Giselle and now both of them have to stay in quarantine, alone, in the locker room. They end up discussing the women in their lives. George says he's going to tell Callie he loves her "soonish," and Derek says he shouldn't wait. George asks if he ever told Meredith he loved her, and Derek says no. George reveals he said, "I love you," to Meredith and that went so badly that that's why he can't bring himself to say it to Callie.

Alex takes charge of a newborn baby that was abandoned in a trash can. It has a serious blood condition that requires a transfusion from the mother, if they can find her. The only likely suspects are a troop of 14-year-old Girl Scouts, who all deny it's theirs. As Addison tries to narrow down who the mother is, she recalls the night that Derek found her with Mark and how she begged him not to leave. "The truth always comes out," she tells the last two girls who might be the mother, and one finally confesses.

In other flashbacks, we see how the interns first met at a mixer: Alex tells Izzie she won't make it through the first year; Christina gushes to Burke how much she admires him; George tries to chat up a disinterested Meredith. Derek recalls meeting Meredith at Joe's bar over tequila and Scotch.

Omar is in quarantine when Miranda stops to check on him. Because the health officials won't let her break the seal, she has to tell Omar through the door that his wife has died. He starts to hyperventilate and she talks him through it, telling him she believes in an afterlife, and that it's beautiful.

Callie shows up at the house with food and starts cooking. She reassures Meredith she won't tell anyone about walking in on her and Derek. Finn shows up to talk to Meredith, which is the moment she decides she needs to talk to Izzie. Finn tells Meredith that he doesn't want to know what happened with Derek, but that he's going to give her time to decide, but that Derek isn't good for her.

Derek and George are finally released from quarantine. As Derek watches, Callie tells George she was so worried and that she really, really loves him. George says nothing.

Derek finds Meredith and finally says that he's in love with her, and that she has a choice to make. And that when he had the same choice, he made the wrong one.

Christina tries to help Izzie by telling her about shiva, the Jewish grieving ritual for the dead, and Izzie asks her how she'd feel if she ever lost Burke. Later, Christina goes to Burke's hospital room and unexpectedly starts sobbing. "Don't ever die," she tells him.

Finally, with Meredith beside her, Izzie stands up and decides she's ready to take off her prom dress.

OK...for those of you in Canada, and other countries, that wanted a detailed recap of the Season Premiere...here it is:

The ep starts with a Meredith monologue about time. (a bunch of different scenes flash during the monologue. Meredith, in her prom dress, running out of the hospital, alone, Richard sitting alone thinking, Addison in the trailer, holding Meredith's panties, Izzy lying on the bathroom floor.

Alex, Cristina, George and Meredith are outside the bathroom, trying to get her to come out. They all look to Meredith, saying she has experience in this. Meredith says that she doesnt. The man she love died, Meredith doesnt know what that feels like. George says that Meredith is dark and twisty inside, and now Izzy is dark and twisty inside. George says that someone has to go in there.

Cut to Izzy, lying on the floor in her prom dress. FLASHBACK. Party welcoming the interns. She introduces herself to Alex. He asks what program she's in, and when she says surgery, he looks at her surprised. He figured she'd be gyno or pediatrics. She asks You dont think I can be a surgeon? He says that surgery is hardcore. She says that she can be hardcore. He tells her she wont last the first year. END FLASHBACK

George is on the floor with Izzy, trying to get her to get changed into something more comfortable. She tells him to stop talking, there is nothing to talk about. He says he's so sorry, and she says she is too.

Cut to the hospital. Bailey is talking with some guy, who is suprised she is a surgeon. She asks what happens, he tells her she has to ID the body, so he doesnt take the wrong guy (apparently that happens alot). A stretcher pulls out, Bailey opens the bag, and says thats him, thats Denny Duquette. She asks when the funeral will be. And he says there is no funeral, the family is having the body sent to Memphis. They start to wheel the stretcher away, and she stops them. She puts her hand on his corpse and tells him how sorry she is.

Cut to Meredith's kitchen where she is making sandwiches. Cristina asks why she is doing that. Meredith says that when people die, you cook. Its what you do. Cristina says that shes Jewish, she knows food and death. Its shiva. Meredith asks if its a shiva even if she's Catholic? Cristina says yes, and they should order in. Meredith says sandwiches are comfort food. Cristina wants to know what is going on with her. What did she do. Meredith tells her to keep some perspective. Denny died, Burke was shot, what she did was a tiny thing. She lost her panties last night.

Cut to the trailer, the dryer buzzes, and Addison takes out the panties, folds them, puts them in a bag into her purse, and leaves.

At the hospital Derek is sitting on the stairs, his hands on his head, when Richard walks up to him. Derek never left, and already performed two surgeries. He asks Richard if he has seen Meredith...Dr. Grey. Richard wants to know what is going on with him, and Derek asks him if someone can cover his shift. Before he can respond, Bailey walks up with a head trauma case and asks Derek if he is free.

Cut to the ER with Derek and George. A woman was in a car accient. Derek looks at the scans...not good. Her and her husband both had the flu, but since she was less sick, he let her drive. She wakes up, and her husband, Omar, rushes to her side. She is clearly disoriented, and talking about dancing. Derek decides to take her to the OR right away. Omar starts coughing, and George says he is burning up, they rush the wife, Giselle, to surgery.

Alex is in the ER, when the paramedics come in holding a premie. They tell him that the baby was left in the trash. Alex starts telling Olivia to start an IV, when he notices all the flu patients. He picks up the baby, and carries him out of the ER. Olivia tells him the baby needs to be admitted, and he says to page Addison. He's not leaving a premie in the ER.

Addison arrives, and starts ordering Alex with medical jargon. He's already done all of that, and it didnt help. She asks where the mother is, and he says he doesnt know. She gets huffy, and he says that he doesnt know because the baby was found in the trash. Addison is shocked and horrified. He asks what she wants him to do, and she tells him (more medical jargon) She tells him to find the mother. She says, "Who does this?" Olivia walks in and says there are some people here, about the baby.

Derek and George are finishing up the surgery on Giselle. Derek asks how Izzy is, how its hard to lose a patient. The pain dulls with time. George tells him that Izzy and Denny were in love, he wasnt just a patient.

Cut to Meredith's kitchen. Cristina is questioning Meredith about what happened with Derek, she's wrapping her mind around it. She asks what he said, and Meredith tells her. She rants about that, then repeats Dereks words, "What does this mean?" Meredith says I dont know. FLASHBACK. Meredith is about 5, and riding a carousel. She sees her mom and Richard arguing. Richard saying that he cant leave Adele, and Ellis crying his name.

Cut to the hospital. Adele is in Richard's office. SHe has made an appointment to see him. She says its the only way to get his attention. BEfore they can really start talking, Bailey walks in. It turns out that Omar and Giselle were exposed to the plague.

Addison walks up to 4 young teenagers in catholic school uniforms, and their parents. Turns out that they were the last ones in the bathroom before the baby was found in the garbage. The parents are fighting. Addison says that she needs to know who had the baby. The parents defend their children, wanting to know what happened, and give permission for a vaginal exam. Addison tells them that she needs the girls permission. All the girls deny knowing anything. Addison is getting frustrated. She tells them that baby will die if not treated, a child's life is in jeopardy. The girls still deny being involved.

Cut to the locker room. Derek compliments George on a job well done, and asks if Meredith went home with Izzy. George confirmed that she did, he's headed there now. Derek says that he is, as well. George tells him that he doesnt think Izzy is up for visitors, and Derek says he is going to see Meredith. A guy in a white suit shows up, and tells them that Giselle was exposed to the plague, and they are now quarantined. They are not happy.

Richard and Bailey are talking, she suggests getting back to his wife, he says he needs to stay on top of his hospital. She hears someone yelling, and follows the sound to Omar. The IDC guy tries to deter her, but she says that she will not ignore a patient, and turns to talk to Omar. He wants to know about Giselle. She tells him who she is, and that Giselle is quarantined in recovery. He thinks he's been in there for days, he's losing track of time. She says that she'll go check on his wife, and he begs her to stay. She does.

Callie arrives at Meredith's house. Meredith says that he isnt there. Callie tells her she knows that, he's under quarantine, and she's worried about him, which made her think of Izzy, so she brought food. Meredith asks if its for the shiva. Callie asks if Meredith is going to let her inside. Meredith opens the door, and Callie says, she wont say anything about the sex with McDreamy, Im not that girl. Meredith shows her to the kitchen. Callie asks if its shiva if Izzy is Catholic.

Cristina is on the floor with Izzy, she's telling her this isnt healthy. Izzy wants to know about shiva. Cristina explains what it is, and Izzy says it sounds nice. Cristina scoffs, saying 7 days or no other shoes, no work, no sex, no sitting on things higher than a foot, no...clean clothes. Izzy closes her eyes, fighting the tears. Izzy says how they took the body away. She'll never see him again. How would Cristina feel if she never saw Burke again? Cristina cant respond. Izzy says, they'll have a shiva for Denny.

Alex goes up to the teenage girls, and targets one, saying dont you want to see your baby? Another girl says its not her baby. Behind them, Addison and Richard are with the parents. They want to know what the hang up is. Addison says that legally they cant force a vaginal exam. The father of one of the girls says hes had enough and is taking his daughter home. Richard says he will have him arrested before he reaches the parking lot. Addison explains the complications. The parents argue again. FLASHBACK Addison is in the apartment in NY with Derek. He is gathering her clothes, and she is crying. She's begging him to listen to her, to stop...what is he doing with her clothes? She wants to explain. He doesnt want to hear it. He picks up her clothes, and starts walking downstairs, she follows him. She says that it was only that one time, and she knows that everyone says that, but he was here, and she didnt know what was happening. He yells, you sleep with my best friend, and all you can say is he was just here? He throws her clothes outside into the rain, telling her to get out. She refuses, she is holding her ground. He grabs her by the arm, and pushes her outside. Addison is standing in the rain, her clothes behind her, begging. He opens the door, and lets her back in. She apologizes. He tells her she can stay, but he is leaving. She begs him to stay, they can work this out. They are Addison and Derek...they can make it through anything. He tells her he cant look at her without feeling nauseous. They're not Derek and Addison anymore. She tells him that if he leaves, they wont ge through this, they dont have a chance. He walks out.

FLASHBACK...intern mixer. Cristina comes up to Burke (who has a date), all in awe of him. She introduces herself, and his date looks at Cristina bored.He seems amused, and turns back to his date. George is talking to Meredith about were they are from. She sees Richard and is distracted.

Cut to locker room. George is freaked about the plague, while Derek is nonchalant, lying down, reading. George is afraid he'll die in that room with nothing but a hard bench, and stale food. Derek gets excited at the mention of food. He opens Alex's locker, and eats his apple. George thinks its kind of rude.

Addison is talking to Richard about safe haven laws, and how the girls could have done the right thing. She tells him she can try matching blood types. He tells her to do it.

Meredith is telling Callie how she is an avoider when Finn walks in. He wants to talk, she tells him she needs to check on Izzy. He sighs, and Callie tells him not to take it personally. They're high schoolers with scalpels. She explains her situation with George, saying, Im the girl in the back of the room that eats her own hair.

Izzy and Meredith are on the floor. Meredith doesnt know what to say to her. Izzy asks her that when Dylan died, did she feel like everything was in slow motion. Meredith says that it was like she blinked and he was gone. Izzy says how she feels like she is in slow motion, she just wants everything to go back to when things were normal, but she cant. She doesnt know how to be this person, who this person is. Meredith takes her hand, and tells her that she's not alone.

Derek finds the truckload in a locker, George says that it was Izzy's locker, she ate a lot to keep her energy up. Derek says "Eat not ate", she's not dead. George tells him it feels like she is. She's never coming back here. George finds some swedish fish. Izzy is never going to be the same. Derek says that there are moments. Seconds that change your life. The chief shows up at the door, George asks if they can leave and Richard says no. Derek, still lost in thought, whispers, just one second. FLASHBACK Meredith is at Joe's Bar after the mixer, ordering tequila. From across the room, Derek watches her and smiles. He orders a drink, and tries to hit on her. She ignores him. He calls her on it, telling him once she gets to know him, she'll love him. She thinks he's cocky. He asks what her story is. She says she has no story, she's just a girl in a bar. He smiles, and says he's just a guy in a bar.

Addison and Alex are with the baby. She understands the panic, but not the aftermath. The blood tests come back. They ruled out two of the girls.

Bailey goes to see Omar. He says he is feeling better. She tells him that the illness caused complications with Giselle...there was nothing they could do. Omar breaks down, and Bailey tells him to put her hands on hers. He says that he should have been driving. He should have taken control. Bailey says, that she knows, she should have too, but they cant go back. He asks her if she believes in God, in the afterlife. She says that she has to, in her profession. He starts crying.

George is upset that Giselle died, and asks if its hot. Derek tells him it isnt. George takes off his shirt, and he is sweating. He asks Derek to feel him, and Shepherd says no, its all his pacing. George is upset. He calls Derek an ass, who has lived. He has the hair, and the wife, and the beautiful ex-mistress. Callie told him she loved him, and he said nothing, when he could love her "soonish". Derek laughs, "Soonish?" George asks him if he ever told Meredith he loved her. Derek says that he hasnt. George sais that he did...but with Callie its different. Derek tells him he should tell her before its too late. George says before I die of the plague? Derek responds, before someone else comes along.

Meredith comes in to the kitchen where Finn and Callie are leaving. Callie leaves. Finn tells her that he never said they were exclusive. Meredith counters that he has plans. He says that he didnt say he's not mad, but they werent exclusive. He then tells her that Derek is bad for her, but he isnt. If there's fight, or a ring, he's in. Finn leaves.

Adelle is pissed off. She wants Richard to retire. She's had it. Its her or the hospital. Richard is floored.

Addison is showing the baby to the two girls who are blood matches. She tells them that they are wrong for covering it up, and lying about what happened...for letting him suffer. He's dying, and the truth will come out. It always does. One girl whispers the others name. The mother turns to Addison, and whispers, "Please dont tell my mom, okay?" Addison hugs her, and thanks her for telling the truth.

Derek and George are still in the locker room. Derek feels like he's been there for a very long time, that it may be too late. Before George can ask what that meant, they are cleared to leave. They both run out of there.

Addison and Alex are operating on the baby, talking about the situation with the mother and grandparents. She is sad for his childhood. ALex tell her that you can get over a bad childhood. All you have to do is survive.

George and Derek arrive at the house. Callie runs up to George, hugging him. She says how worried she was. Derek looks on, as they hug, and she tells him she loves him. He just hugs her, and kisses here.

Derek finds Meredith in the kitchen. He tells her how he wanted to come over this morning. SHe heard about the quarantine. They just sort of look at each other. She asks what 'does this mean'? He tells her she has a choice to make. He doesnt want to rush her. He's in love with her, always has been. He knows hes late in telling her that. He just wants her to take her time. When he a choice to make, he chose wrong. He tells her good-night and leaves.

Meredith monologue. Adele knows Richard wont retire. He wants more time, she doesnt have more time to give. Addison pins Meredith's panties to the Lost and FOund board. Cristina goes to sees Burke. He asks where she has been, she tells him sitting Shiva for Denny. He asks how she is. She starts to cry, and makes him promise to not die. He tells her he'll do his best. Izzy is on the floor FLASHBACK They are leaving the mixer. Izzy is giddy, "Can you believe that tomorrow, we're gonna be surgeons?" END FLASHBACK. Meredith walks in, and Izzy gets up, telling her that she's ready. Meredith starts to remove the prom dress

Shonda hat einen neuen Blogeintrag geschrieben über die Premiere. Ist immer sehr interessant und es stehen oft Sachen drin, die mir beim ersten Mal schauen gar nicht aufgefallen sind.

This episode for me was really a chance to deal with the things that had been haunting me all summer. Especially Izzie. I’d been pretty worried about her, you see. She was in such pain when we left her. And let me tell you, I watched that final scene in Denny’s room where she wouldn’t get out of the bed more times than is probably normal for someone who WROTE the thing. I couldn’t help it -- Katie Heigl’s amazing performance sucks me in every single time.

I also wanted very badly to reveal the first moment Meredith and Derek meet. It is the night before the interns’ very first shift. And if you remember the first episode of Season One, there was a mixer that night. And there’s Meredith – with her (as George described in the pilot) “black dress, slit up the side, strappy sandals” in the bar. And she meets Derek. And they are so fresh with one another, it’s all so new. There’s none of the baggage that they have now. I just love when Meredith says “so if I know you, I’ll love you?” so SURE that she never will. That he’s just another guy. And when Derek asks Meredith what her story is, she says “I’m just a girl in a bar.” And we KNOW that she’s not – we know about her mother and her daddy issues and her soft spot for sleeping with inappropriate men. But here, she’s just a girl. And Derek says he’s just a guy. But, unlike the first episode of Grey’s Anatomy, we know about his wife. And we just saw his pain at discovering Addison’s infidelity. And this is the “split second”, the moment they meet, that has changed the course of their lives forever.

wenn sie so weiter schreibt und sich so tolle komplexe gedanken über die charaktere macht, werden wir noch sehr viel spaß mit GA haben ich bin echt beieindruckt, so gefesselt wie ich vor GA im moment sitzte saß ich schon lange nicht mehr vor einer serie, geschweige den vor einem film!

SUPER! Danke für den Link! Na, das ist ja Klasse, dass Addison nun auch ihre Konsequenzen zieht. So ist der Weg nun frei für Mer/Der, auch wenn der bestimmt noch holprig wird, denn wir kennen ja die dramatischen Einfälle von Autoren, die das Traumpaar nicht so schnell zusammen haben wollen.
